1 Autograph Document dated 1841, the opening lines of which are as follows: "To the Honourable the Senate and House of Representatives in Congress Assembled. The Memorial of Juan Jose Castanos respectfully represents that in the year 1841 the Government of California ordered certain American and British citizens to be sent out of that country under a charge of having conspired against the Government."
