Sent from Philadelphia on letterhead bearing the title: "Supervisory Committee for Recruiting Colored Regiments." Also, 1 ALS dated 2/20/1864 from Wagner to Leslie, enclosing his photograph [not retained in this collection] and a sketch of his life and the regiment [not retained], with reference to Wagner's broken right hand. Sent from Headquarters, Camp "William Penn," Chelten Hills, Pennsylvania.
