Moss, Colonel in the 2nd Virginia Volunteers, to John Gilmary Shea, describing the military service of Lieutenant Alfred Sickman, who was recently killed in the action at Allegheny Summit on 12/13/1861. Reference to Lt. Sickman's father, Samuel Sickman, of Washington County, Pennsylvania. Sent from "Head Quarters 2nd Va, Reg., Cheat Mountin Summit."
