1 Autograph Letter Signed dated 10/1/1858 from novelist Emma Dorothy Eliza Nevitte [E.D.E.N.] Southworth to Georgetown Mayor Richard R. Crawford, concerning road work on Prospect Street in Georgetown. Southworth explains that her garden and orchard are buried in dirt resulting from the road project. She notes how important her Georgetown house is to her and asks for his assistance in protecting her property. Sent from New York.
