Container Summary
6 AJE dated 11/30/1834-12/5/1834 describing JPB's peculiar encounter with a poor beggar woman in the streets and and his mortification at having missed a visit from Levitt Harris. However, Mr. Harris returned and proceeded to take JPB to see the ambassadors of Russia, Prussia, Austria, Denmark, Sweden, and the Duke of Castries. He also quotes from Lord Chesterfield's letters, which he believes to contain good advice and makes a rough calculation of his expenses and current finances. Pages 291-302 Page 302 is torn out.
