5 AJE dated 8/31/1834-9/20/1834 containing JPB's account of his adventures with friends at a festival in Paris and expressing his affectionate thoughts of a young woman named Catharine Roche. He also writes down his analysis of a painting he sees on his visit to the Louvre entitled, "The Water Doctor". Pages 115-151 Pages 120-141 are torn out.
