Container Summary
7 AJE dated 7/17/1834-7/23/1834 containing a detailed account of a sham air show attended by thousands of Paris residents, that took place on the Champ de Mars. JPB wrote down a description of the contraption that was supposed to navigate the air from Paris to London in four hours. Also included in these entries are JPB's final thoughts on Silvio Pellico's Le Mie Prigioni, an analysis of the July Revolution and his own politcial stance, discussion of the difference in number of children between English and French families, and a description of his excursion to the town of Montmorency and visit to the former home of J.J. Rousseau. Pages 87-100
