1 AL from Z. T. Miller to his friend Albert Sheldon, recapping at length his unit's recent marches and battles in the campaign as the Union army drove towards Atlanta. Miller lists his rank as clerk in the assistant adjutant general's office, 3rd Brigade, 1st Division, 20th Corps, Army of the Cumberland. Sent from Chattahoochee Heights, Georgia. The first half of the letter is labeled "120," and the second half is labeled "121."
