1 ALS dated 10/25/1863 from Z. T. Miller to his mother Ann Miller, with mention of skirmishes and scouting parties in the direction of Trenton, Georgia. References to some in the Army of the Cumberland looking down on those in the Army of the Potomac, Ulysses S. Grant taking command of the department, William S. Rosecrans being removed from command, and Grant passing by on his way to Chattanooga; sent from Bridgeport, Alabama. Also, 1 ALS dated 10/26/1863 from Miller to his mother, predicting a Union attack towards Atlanta, Georgia.
