Miller to his mother Ann Miller, explaining that his unit is making preparations to march, with references to the 82nd Ohio, the 82nd Illinois, speculation about the Union army's next move, the third time being the charm at Manassas, the strict rule of Ambrose Burnside, and the need for a larger standing army during peacetime; sent from 18 miles below Dumfries, Virginia. Also, 1 ALS dated 6/6/1863 from Jacob Cline, Co. F 13th Ohio, to cousin Josephine?, with commentary on his unit's camp; sent from Fayetteville, West Virginia.
