1 AL from Z. T. Miller to his parents, recounting the recent march of his unit. Reference to Alpheus Starkey Williams, Ulysses S. Grant's success in Virginia, Oliver Otis Howard, John M. Schofield, the 5th Indiana Battery, a comment by Joseph Hooker in the heat of battle, John B. Hood, and descriptions of battle. Sent from Cassville, Georgia. Although Z. T. Miller dated the letter 1863 and although the letter bears the label "64" in pencil, it dates to 1864.
