Reference to Carl Schurz being invited by George Stoneman to a review of cavalry which President Abraham Lincoln might attend. Speculation that Schurz may go to Kentucky. Complaints of the muddy roads of Virginia. Sent on Easter Sunday from Stafford Court House, Virginia. The letter bears the number "57" in pencil.
