1 ALS from Z. T. Miller to his mother Ann Miller. Dated March 1863, possibly March 20. Mention of Carl Schurz arriving and taking charge of the 11th corps. Comment on Pennsylvania Governor Andrew Curtin reviewing Pennsylvania troops, including the 4th Pennsylvania. Reference to Joseph Hooker being strict with officers absent without leave. Discussion of Carl Schurz taking Franz Sigel's staff. Other references to the 68th New York and to the depletion of the 61st Ohio. Presumably sent from near Stafford Court House, Virginia.
