1 ALS from Z. T. Miller to his mother Ann Miller, providing a detailed description of the effects of the Civil War on Fairfax, Virginia. Description of a wounded soldier from the N.Y. 29th. Mention of prisoners. Reference to Franz Sigel and Carl Schurz being transferred to Kentucky and speculation about taking Ohio troops with them. Other references include Nathaniel P. Banks, John Sedgewick, Clement Vallandigham, and Jefferson Davis. Sent from Fairfax Court House, Virginia.
