Letters dated 10/23, 11/24, and 11/26 refer to murals by Maurice Sterne, commissioned by the Fine Arts section of the Federal Works Agency, Public Buildings Administration, for the decoration of the library of the Department of Justice, Washington, D.C. Includes: typed copy of a letter to Robert H.Jackson (11/24/1940); TLS 7/18/1940 from John LaFarge, S.J. to Edward Bruce re Maurice Sterne and the Federal Works Agency; and 3 copies of a description, by the Federal Works Agency, of the proposed 20 murals by Maurice Sterne, entitled, "Man's Struggle for Justice."
