Includes description of Union camp near Yorktown and of the siege of Yorktown. Reference to Rufus King, the 17th New York, Daniel Butterfield, Vienna (Virginia), the 23rd Massachusetts, the 6th Vermont, and the 49th New York. Sent from Camp Winfield Scott, near Yorktown, Virginia. Note: The siege of Yorktown began on April 5, 1862, and lasted until May 4, 1862.
