1 AL (copy, fragment) dated 6/11/1843 from Washington Irving (1783-1859), U.S. Minister to Spain (1842-1846), to Obadiah Rich (1783-1850), U.S. Consul at Port Mahon in the Balearic Islands (1834-1845). Only the letter's heading is retained in the letterbook; the text of the letter is not retained. The page containing Irving's letter to Rich appears to have been torn out of the letterbook. Page 109.
