Nicholson, congratulating them, on behalf of the General Assembly of Virginia, on the victory of the U.S.S. "United States" over the H.M.S. "Macedonian." Sent from Richmond. This letter was formerly in the Decatur letter book, immediately preceding the Virginia General Assembly resolutions cataloged as Box 1 Folder 6 of the Decatur Papers.
