1 AMS dated 12/18/1812 resolutions by the City of New York, commending Stephen Decatur (1779-1820), Isaac Hull (1773-1843), Jacob Jones (1768-1850), and their crews for capturing the British vessels "Macedonian," "Guerriere," and "Frolic." The document advocates a strong naval establishment and expresses support for a bill in Congress to build more ships. Signed by Richard Varick (1753-1831) and Gurdon Saltonstall Mumford (1764-1831), with reference to Oliver Wolcott (1760-1833).
