1 AM: "C[harles] Lacey's Cash Book on Board the U.S. Ship John Adams, April 1809," 11 pages. Lists goods purchased by Lacey, including clothes, books, dirks, and other items. Prices included. Also reveals to which cities Lacey sailed. The book indicates that Lacey received a leave of absence on 7/23/1810. A note, presumably written by Charles H. Trunnel at a later date, states, "Charles Lacey was my Mother's brother."
