ALS (dated 6/27/1853, with envelope) to Franklin B. Sanborn from Harvard classmate George H. Stevens. Reference to Exeter and Harvard classmates Willard Bliss, Edwards (?) and Brown (?). Describes his summer travels to Newark (New Jersey) and other places on the East Coast. Reference also to Wendell Phillips and desire to hear him lecture, as well as to Harriet Beecher Stowe's book, "Uncle Tom's Cabin."
