Container Summary

ALS (dated 12/15/1851, with envelope) to Franklin B. Sanborn from Susie Leavitt. Recounting a visit to Ariana Walker who was staying with Mrs. Littlehale in Boston: "...I feel greatly indebted to you, Frank, for knowing Anna, for I love her now more than at first; it seems impossible for anyone to see her and not admire her. Emily was in extasies (sic.) with her although only a silent listener; she thinks when Anna smiles she is beautiful..." Reference also to a visit by Ariana Walker to friend Kate Cram (Catharine Cram).
