From the Series:

Contains correspondence mostly from the 1970s and 1980s sent by international officials, diplomats, and residents of foreign countries to William H. Natcher. Topics of discusion include Canada's response to the Garrsion Diversion Project, Taiwanese reaction to the normailzation of relations between the U.S. and the People's Republic of China, the Iranian Hostage Crisis, and relations between Turkey and Cyprus. One typed letter from Fidel Castro is included. Correspondence is arranged alphabetically by name of country.

Container Summary

Contains correspondence from Korean officials and citizens to WHN. Correspondents include Okja Choi Choo; Pyong-choon Hahm, Ambassador of Korea; Rev. Antonius Pong; Sook Chong Lee D. Litt; Kyu-taik Kim; Byung Hion Lew; Duwan Pong; and Kyung-Won Kim, Ambassador of Korea. Correspondence includes replies to a Washington Post editorial criticizing the South Korean political system and references to the Catholic Church in Korea, the American Bicentennial, a subscription to Korean Newsreiview, foreign assistance aid to South Korea, appreciation for American support during the Korean War, President Jimmy Carter's decision to normalize relations with the People's Republic of China, and the effects of the Textile and Apparel Trade Enforcement Act.
