From the Series:

Contains correspondence mostly from the 1970s and 1980s sent by international officials, diplomats, and residents of foreign countries to William H. Natcher. Topics of discusion include Canada's response to the Garrsion Diversion Project, Taiwanese reaction to the normailzation of relations between the U.S. and the People's Republic of China, the Iranian Hostage Crisis, and relations between Turkey and Cyprus. One typed letter from Fidel Castro is included. Correspondence is arranged alphabetically by name of country.

Correspondents include Noboru Kato, Consul General; Takeo Miki, Prime Minister of Japan; Tetsuma Hashimoto; Ryoichi Saskawa; Hirokichi Nadao; Nobuhiko Matsuno; and Yoshio Okawara, Ambassador of Japan. Correspondence regarding the American Bicentennial, the threat of nuclear war, the response of Japan to efforts to normalize relation between the U.S. and China, and the 1981 and 1985 Japanese budgets.
