The correspondents include Presidential Commissioners and Special Assistants to the President. The series is highlighted by 23 letters sent from Assistant to the President Max Friedersdorf. One telegram from Jimmy Carter congratulates Natcher on his 10,000th consecutive vote. One telegram from Ronald Reagan is included regarding the federal budget.
