Contains the correspondence written by Robert R. Aylmer to his parents in Petersburg, Virginia, while attending Georgetown College during the year 1837, with one letter sent by the college regarding payment on Robert R. Aylmer's account in April 1838, arranged chronologically, 10 items. Among the items discussed in these letters is a reference to the expulsion of two of Robert Aylmer's classmates for bad conduct: ". . . Mac [William McGowan] did not expect they would expell him, for he was often heard to say, that they loved money too dearly; but they showed him it was quite the contrary."
