Contains correspondence from Columbus scholar and editor Carlos Sanz to Pieter Verhoog, as follows: 5 TLS 8/3/1966, 9/5/1966, 10/12/1966, 2/14/1967, 11/11/1970; 1 ALS 12/18/1970; 1 signed Christmas card, 1970. Includes replies from Verhoog to Sanz: 10/18/1966, 3/6/1967, 3/15/1967. References to Verhoog's book on the Columbus landfall, entitled, "Guanahani Again" (Amsterdam: C. de Boer Jr., 1947). Also xerox copy of pictorial article showing Sanz's official donation to the National Library of Spain, maps dating from 1507 to 1516.
