(Box 1, Folders 59-75) Contains correspondence generated and received by Julie and Thomas Kernan. Of interest is that of Thomas Kernan to Julie and the Kernan family during the war years in France and his internment for thirteen months at Lourdes and Baden Baden during the Nazi occupation of France from November 1942.

Contains 3 TLS, 1 ALS, 3 V-Mail from TDK. In 1944 through 1945, TDK entered the U.S. Intelligence Service and was posted in England and Germany. This correspondence was written during this period. The letters detail the aftermath of World War II. TDK refers to his visits to the concentration camps just after liberation at Buchenwald and Dachau. Mentions his fear that Jean d'Ayen, husband of his friend Solange d'Ayen may have perished at one of the camps.
