Includes the following: 5 carbon telegrams sent from CVHE and Paul Knabenshue to Washington and Constantinople from Beirut mostly regarding Turkish attacks on Armenians and Emir Faisal, Arabs and Zionism; 2 copy TLs from H. E. Cole, Director of the Standard Oil Company of New York, to Robert Lansing, Secretary of State, with short reports included, all regarding Mesopotamian duties on the import and export of oil; 1 TMs report from Frank Polk to robert Lansing regarding British and American oil markets around the world with references to the Caribbean and the Anglo-Persian Oil Company and with attached carbon TL from Lord Grey to Lansing; 1 TMs report by Sydney Armitage Armitage-Smith, Financial Advisor to the Imperial Persian Government, for the Persian government regarding royalties from oil concessions given to the Anglo-Persian Oil Company; 2 carbon telegrams from CVHE to the Secretary of State regarding conditions in Bagdad; 1 TMs memo from E. N. Wickham to CVHE (?) regarding military situation in Persia with references to British, Cossack, Armenian and Azerbaijani forces and Bolshevik take over of Enzeli and Resht; 1 TMs report on Afghanistan taken from the Statesman's Yearbook (1920).
