Contains carbon copy of a letter from John Monagan to Anthony Powell with comments on having read, "Faces in My Time": @ Dear Tony: I have just finished "Faces in My Time" and I want to tell you how much I enjoyed it. The gusto of the war years comes through very clearly. I liked greatly the Fitzgerald vignette which gives a picture somewhat different from the generally accepted one. There is something in the Powell psyche which soothes these stormy petrels..."
