Contains carbon copy of a typed letter from John Monagan to Anthony Powell with reference to a luncheon meeting between the former's daughter, Laura (studying in London) and Powell's son Tristram and wife Virginia: "...After a magnificent year, due to having put so much into it herself, Laura will be coming home...and I'm sure that the above interlude will be one of her pleasantest memories..." @ Also, reference to "Messengers of Day."
