Container Summary

Contains an edition of "In Vinculis" by Wilfrid S. Blunt. Inscribed by the author to Shane Leslie and dated May 29, 1911. With Sir Shane's bookplate (inside front cover). Includes the following inserts are included, in order of appearance (attached/loose) - 1. Judith (Blunt) Lytton to Shane Leslie, ALS 10/16/1948, re her father Wilfrid Scawen Blunt. Also, ALS 10/19/1948 & 11/1/1948. 2. Sydney Cockerell to Shane Leslie, ALS 10/15/1948, enclosing a letter from Anne Noel Blunt, Baroness Wentworth (see below). Also, ALS 10/13/148. 3. Anne Noel Blunt to Sydney Cockerell, ALS 6/9/1912. 4. Typed transcription by Shane Leslie of letter from Vincent McNabb to Terence Connolly, S.J., 12/2/1938: "...It would not be fair to Wilfrid Blunt to say that I reconciled him to the Church. I gave him the Last Sacraments. I only hope I shall have at death the same childlike faith that he had..." 5.
