(Folders 28 - 32) This series contains some items related to St. Joseph's Society of the Sacred Heart and its foreign missions. These include a list of rules for the society written in the hand of Cardinal Herbert Vaughan; a form letter by the Rev. Herbert Vaughan, nephew of Cardinal Herbert Vaughan, petitioning American Catholics for financial assistance. Written on letterhead of the Catholic Missionary Society for England. The collection is completed by photographs and illustrations of members of the Vaughan family: the brothers of Cardinal Vaughan, Msgr. John S. Vaughan and Bernard Vaughan; and Rev. Herbert Vaughan.
