The Constantin Kluge - Pierre Leroy collection consists of 34 personal, autograph signed letters from Father Leroy to his friend Constantin Kluge, in addition to first-hand background information provided by Kluge on his acquaintance with Pierre Teilhard de Chardin and his circle (especially Pierre Leroy and Claude Riviere). A complete typed transcription of the 34 letters has been graciously provided by Mme. Solange Soulie, a close friend of Pierre Leroy.

Contains 3 ALS, critical in their presentation of Leroy's definition of Christ and views on the Catholic church - @ May 7, 1980 (with xerox copy), in which Leroy refers to his views on Christian faith: @@ Je suis assez surpris de lire ceci dans votre lettre du 2 Mai dernier: "Les propos que vous avez tenus chez vous la derniere fois, en particulier sur la nature que vous pretez au Christ, contrastent diametralement avec ce que vous avez ecrit sur ce sujet il y a deux ans!" - Je ne retranche rien, absolument rien de ce que je vous ecrivai dans la lettre du 5 Juillet a savoir que le Christ a vecu en honneur au milieu des hommes et donc au milieu du Mal... et que je ne puis etre mieux loge que lui...Cette verite historique, bien etablie par tous les chretiens orthodoxes, protestants et catholiques ne signifie pas que le Christ n'a ete qu'un homme.
