Contains ALS by Ducondray Holstein. Addressed to General Stephen van Rensselaer, commanding general during the War of 1812 and New York congressman, 1921-1829. Concerns obtaining back issues of various French journals. A handwritten notation in ink at the bottom of the letter informs, "Ducondray Holstein author of Life of LaFayette."* Dated from Albany, New York. @ *"Life of Lafayette, including an account of the memorable revolution of three days of 1830" Boston: 1835.
