Container Summary

Contains ALS from the author of "Lorna Doone," to "Dear Dr. Cook,...I venture to send you a more sprightly lay." This was to Keningale Cook, editor of The University Magazine, and publisher of Blackmore's well-known poem, "Dominus Illuminatio Meo (In memoriam M.F.G.)." The latter was Mary Frances Gordon, Blackmore's maternal aunt who died December 1878.
