Series-level Scope and Content Note
(Box 2, Folders 9 - 30) This series consists of printed material such as the list of ambassadorial envoys attending the funeral services for Pope Pius XII (10/19/58); program/protocol booklet for the visit of US President Dwight D. Eisenhower to the Vatican (12/6/59); and a printed copy of the correspondence between Harry S. Truman and Myron C. Taylor on the latter's retirement as representative of the US president to Pope Pius XII (1/18/50). In addition, miscellaneous pamphlets and article reprints about Italian politics collected by Mr. Velletri, are located in this series. The collection is completed by a series of newsclippings collected by Mr. Velletri for research on a doctoral dissertation on the Italian Christian Democratic Party. The clippings are arranged by subject to correspond with the dissertation notes in Series 3.
