(Box 1, Folders 19 - 53; Box 2, Folders 1 - 8) This series contains manuscript material by August Velletri, including a book proposal and fragments of a journal or personal account of meetings with officials and members of the various Italian parties. A large part of this section consists of manuscript material including notes and bibliographic information for a doctoral dissertation contemplated by Mr. Velletri on the Italian Christian Democratic Party. (A large collection of newsclippings covering various aspects of this project, are located in Box 2, Folders 13 through 30.) Copies of papers by others, on Catholicism and the relationship between chruch and state, are included in this section. Arranged alphabetically by author.
