Contains 2 ALS w/ envelopes from James Placidus to his son James Cresap Ord. Written from Omaha, Nebraska and San Antonio, Texas to Fort Davis, Texas. Both letters convey family news of Julianne and James' siblings. All have been ill due to the cold climate of Nebraska; however, all are reported having benefitted from the move to Texas.
