Contains draft of ALS from Edward to General William Tecumseh Sherman, dated from San Antonio, Texas, on the subject of some discrepancy between a report made in a private letter from Ord to Sherman and an account given in an official annual report of a military action taken by Ord relating to the posting of the 4th cavalry (cf. related correspondence, Folders 1:61-1:62.)
