Contains ALS to James Placidus Ord from his brother. Written at West Point, New York, to J. Placidus in Sault de St. Marie, Michigan. Primarily concerns Edward's request for "very desirable blankets, Buffalo moccasins, etc.," and a visit to Niagara Falls, "...you would have a better idea of it if you could imagine the bed of the Potomac to sink suddenly 200 feet..."
