77 letters to and from FGR regarding "the Long Beach Affair," wherein FGR was pastor at a church in Long Beach Long Island and got into an altercation with a trustee of the church. FGR's ordination papers were temporarily taken away from him while the United Lutheran Synod of New York reviewed his case. Includes 11 TLSs from Samuel Trexler, 1 TLS from Christian Korell, 2 TLSs from FGR's brother Ralph Robinson, 1 TLS from Frank Weller and from numerous fellow Lutheran pastors in New York. See Box 14, Folder 16 for an in depth discussion of the events at Long Beach.
