Includes a typed note by HG dated 10/26/83: "This book offers something of a mystery - the book itself and the use David made of it. It was evidently important to him as a book because he doctored it with his own inimitable surgery even to the point of tearing out the distinctive "Everyman" end papers which were an inoffensive Pre-Raphaelite design..."
