Container Summary
Contains TMs for the play. This version contains only two acts. Eventually "The Wild Harps Playing" became a three-act play in thirteen scenes. It was never accepted for production, although Act I was published in the Yale Literary Magazine, February 22, 1936. The play would provide the basis for the later play, "Liberty Jones," which opened at the Shubert Theatre, New York, February 5, 1941. (See Roppolo pp.95-98 for the history of both plays.)
