Contains pencil autograph notes by PB about the play. A note by ESB explains: "Notes for Herman Shumlin in talks about producing "Here Come the Clowns" - (Shumlin did not produce it). EB." @ See Roppolo on "Here Come the Clowns," p.87. The play was finally offered to Eddie Dowling who produced and starred in it as Dan Clancy.
