(Box 2, Folders 1 -29; Box 3, Folders 1-6) This series consists of correspondence and information collected by FJD on each of the "Time" magazine covers and their autographers in Series 1. Information is primarily in the form of newsclippings about the individuals and their fields. Correspondence is in the form of xerox copies of ALS or TLS from FJD to the prospective autographer or agent.

Container Summary

Contains correspondence by FJD concerning his interest in collecting signatures and information for and about the Time cover and feature article on space technology and German rocket scientist Wernher von Braun, who was captured by the Allied at the end of the Second World War in 1945. Folder includes clippings about von Braun, and 1 b/w photograph w/ negative of FJD with officers at Redstone Arsenal where he had also met von Braun.
