Correspondents include Gustave Beuletspacher, Commercial Agent in Moncton, New Brunswick, with reference to William R. Day being appointed Secretary of State and mention of the views on the Spanish-American War of the populace of Moncton; 1 ALS from Stephen C. Fay, of Owen Cycles in Rochester, New York, to Congressman Henry C. Brewster (NY), requesting maps and consular reports on the Philippines and Cuba; W. P. Boyd, U.S. Consul in Honolulu, Hawaiian Islands, with reference to the residents there giving the U.S. troops a good reception and to the prospect of U.S. annexation of Hawaii; J. W. Bayne upon accepting a position in the Army; Congressman Henry C. Brewster (2 TLS) in regard to the abovementioned letter from Fay and to trade in Cuba and Puerto Rico; and 1 TLS from Fidelity and Casualty Company of New York asking for a copy of the latest report of the U.S. Consul at San Domingo, West Indes.
