Scope and Contents From the Series:

Series IV contains various materials that were either not part of John Long's subject files, or had become separated from them over time. The files consist of personal and family correspondence, published and unpublished manuscripts of Fr. Long and other members of the SPCU, notes and other material from courses attended by and taught by Father Long, photographs and photo albums, calendars and appointment books.

Shorter manuscripts, arranged chronologically, including Long's reports from the Pan Orthodox Conference at Rhodes (1961), his notes on the Presence of Observers from the Orthodox Churches at the Second Vatican Council (1962), Long's address to the Faith and Order Commission at the 1964 meeting of the WCC in Aarhus, East and West in the Decree on Ecumenism (1965), and an essay on the significance of the meeting between the Pope and the Archbishop of Canterbury in March, 1960 (c. 1966).
