Daily News Bulletins (Office of Discipline/Student Personnel/Student Activities)
Collection-level Scope and Content Note
The Daily News Bulletins were typed informational notices posted on campus each day by the Office of Discipline and its successor offices, the Office of Student Personnel and the Office of Student Activities. They provide information on daily routines and schedules and note such things as: meetings of students groups; sporting events or practices; dances and proms; meal times; and confession schedules. They contain reminders about regulations, particularly for parking and attire, and also convey details of illnesses and deaths among Georgetown students, faculty and alumni, and their family members. The impact of World War II on campus life can easily be gleaned from the Bulletins. Lists of alumni casualties and those missing in action are included. Casualties from the Korean and Vietnam Wars are also detailed.
