Scope and Contents
Deed for square 376, lot 3 (fronting F Street, NW), July 12, 1810; Deed for square 376, lot 4, June 13, 1815; Deed for square 376, lots 16-17 (fronting G Street NW) May 16, 1815; list of rectors of Washington Seminary and Gonzaga College High School, 1909; and correspondence, 1848-1849, including two letters from Stanislaus Murray to Rev. Blox: November 18, 1848, in which Murray attests to the honesty and care of Ned, and November 20, 1848, in which Murray agrees to let the Seminary hire Ned out for one month "on trial" with the hope of securing a sustained relationship at the rate of $8/month. Further includes receipts for tuition payments from Mr. Lynch, for his son Daniel, and from Mr. Digges for his sons (1827-1828); ephemera from the last "annual exhibition" before the school closed temporarily (1827); and various notes and clippings.
